Summer Fun! Part one

Well it's about time that I filled you all in on the rest of our summer.
To start off we happily played host for two weeks to Chad's parents in July. We all had such a great time, watching parades, climbing mountains riding Gondolas, riding roller coasters and taking road trips. All in all it was lots of fun and a little tiring! Here are a few shoots from when they were here!

10 years and still laughing!!!!!

Well Chad and I just recently celebrated our 10th anniversary, with a little trip to BC. In keeping with most of our plans we make, there were some unexpected changes as we went. We had found a really great deal for two nights in a little Chalet and had planned to do some sight seeing go to the hot springs and just relax. Unfortunately after a three hour car ride we were surprised to find out that the town the chalet was in had the main water valve in town burst that morning, and the girl at the front desk advised us to find somewhere else to stay! What a shock! We drove around for about an hour before we decided what are new plan would be. We found a hotel that was supplying their guests with bottled water and decided to cut our trip to just one night.

So on the morning of our actual anniversary we woke up in a very beautiful place ordered room service and packed the car up again. We did stop and do a few things in Radium before we left. First on our to do list was go to the "crazy house".

This is a house that a man lives in, uses as a studio for his wood carvings and let's people pay three dollars to tour it. Let's just say after our unplanned changes Chad and I were not so crazy about our trip however this place really saved the whole trip for us. Here is a little bit of the video from our tour. There was a great surprise for us when we started touring his yard!

After the crazy house we took a dip in the hot springs and did a little sight seeing. The hot springs were great right in the middle of two mountains, such a pretty spot. While walking too the springs we found lots of wild daisies growing on the side of the road, and I had to stop and get my picture taken with them, as on the morning of our wedding my mom and I had picked wild daisies to go on the tables at our reception.

All in all I think this will be an anniversary that we will never forget.
